Clever!

The only thing better than being a clever, tool-using monkey is having friends who are clever ,tool-using monkeys. Case in point:


Made by my friend's incredibly clever husband. It's a drill holster from the dollar store, modified by adding a panel in the side and removing the bottom to accommodate the Nerf Maverick. The strap across the top was lengthened and more cool rivets were added.

I have been fascinated by the whole steampunk thing before I knew it was such. Things like Verne and the old Wild Wild West TV series made me smile. (and still do) I'll be at SteamCon this weekend.

It's whimsical, yet based on history. Also a welcome break from over-zealous period/authenticity types. On top of that, where else can I play with cool modified Nerf guns!! (look to a previous posting of mine for my Maverick Mod)

I altered some nifty, though dated, brown linen pants into knee breeches. I have a strap that goes around my thigh for trousers wear. I could also wear it with my spiffy skirt.

Yes, Steampunk is interesting. Would not mind try it myself but my beloved wife is not interested.
I am not sure if I need another hobby with garb and gear. Besides I am little old for this.
