1.If you had to define yourself in one word, what would it be?
This was probably the hardest one - I think "domestic" would cover the bases. I like to do all those comfort and arty things that make a house a home.
2.So, how do you like being seneschal so far? :) So far, so good. There have been bumps & large-ish gaps in pass-on information, but I've have back-up (for which I am extremely grateful). I also get to freely express my inner-bitch and it's part of the job description!
3.what is your favorite food? Must I pick only one?? It truly does depend on my mood. Right this moment, I would love a bowl of fresh berries & melon - blueberries, raspberries, watermelon & canary melon. Mmmm... taste the summer!
4.If you could have dinner with any three people in history who would they be and what would you have for dinner? ;) This too, depends upon my mood. Now, I would have to say, ummm, Julia Child, Galileo and Da Vinci. This is, of course, we are provided a universal translator. And for dinner, we would go to market, pick fresh goodies (meat, fruit, veg, seafood...) and cook together, each person contributing. It would be very western Mediterranean, I think.
5.How and when did you first find the SCA? I first discovered the SCA in college. Interesting, but most of the kids were into D&D. I am/was not. Found again active duty in Germany. D&D thing again... (also other freaky issues that even I am not comfortable bringing up here, or much of anywhere...) Later at Fort Meade, MD. Played a bit, but for a group centered around the transience of the military, they were not at all welcoming of newcomers. Finally, I land here in Blatha an Oir. HURRAY! I find a *cool* home. Within a couple of days of me contacting the chatelaine (whose name escapes me - it's been about 10 years), I got a visit from the on-post guy .Totally wonderful. Made it more interesting that I was MI (military intelligence), in-processing a new unit, and this CID (criminal Investigation division) guy shows up, in a suit, asking for me. Made them all wonder. I think most still do.
