HOT weekend. Really hot, like I was on the other side of the Cascades. I am originally from New England, lived up and down the Eastern Seaboard, the rest of the U.S. and several foreign countries. My husband was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. There is a reason we decided to settle in Western WA. Aside from friends we made and georgeous locale, it was the temperate climate.

I am not overly complaing about the heat. It helps bake out the pervasive ache that goes along with fibromyalgia. The issue I had yesterday was, well, I didn't ache, but it's too hot to move! I admit I was a bit cranky.

We did have a spectacular lightning show. Something we seldom have here. On the East Coast, all the time. I got a kick out of the weather guy telling people how to tell how far away the lightning is striking. "watch the flash and start counting - one-onethousand, two-onethousand - when you here the crash, factor in your counting. Acount of five means it's about a mile away". I guess for people who grew up here, last night ws truly a novelty.

It's cooler this morning

The one thing I miss from the East Coast, is fireflies. I do not miss the humidity. The 95 square day. 95 degree temperature and 95% humidity. But do miss the fireflies or lighting bugs or glow flies or what term you use for them.
