Snow Tales
Jan. 20th, 2012 12:46 pmMine really don't differ much from others around here. We had about 12" on Wednesday morning. It was beautiful. I walked to work and the world was completely hushed. Practically no cars on the road and everything was softened and muffled by the snow. Not surprisingly, very few people were there once I got in.
Wednesday was snowy, too. The walk in was a bit sloppier, but better than driving. Glad I don't have far to go - less than 1/2 mile.
Thurday was by far the crappiest. Freezing rain had fallen overnight. Everything was impossibly shiny and crisp. Mother Nature turned crafting diva on crack & shellac. I would have enjoyed it more from inside.
Today, it is beginning to release its hold. Ice is coming of the roof in sheets. Some rather impressive icicle have fallen, looking rather like crystal dinosaur teeth.
